Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere!
We tiptoed through Sakura petals, enjoyed a rich cup of coffee in the most minimalist of spaces, and much more. We were on the scene, and vibing like a boss! Just check out our social diary for this past week (don’t be jelly!):
Sakura Festival Powered by NAKED, INC.
Why go to Japan when you can experience the beauty of Sakura flowers here in Malaysia? Enjoy the “Sakura Festival Powered by NAKED, INC.” currently running at LaLaport BBCC’s WoW Plaza and Central Rooftop Garden. We were at the launch, where we witnessed colourful light projection mapping inspired by the famous Japanese cherry blossom – and where we were also treated to a special appearance by an AKB48 and HOSHI-NO-OKA member’s live debut!
Actual Keio cherry blossoms from the Yamagata Prefecture in Japan will soon be specially brought in and set up in a viewing zone for locals to enjoy as well! Not only that, but you’ll get to enjoy special performances by AKB48 at the closing weekend ceremony on 18th and 19th May! Here’s what went down at the launch:

KraveBeauty Launch
KraveBeauty has been launched in Malaysia, and we got to celebrate the momentous occasion with members of the KraveBeauty team and brand founder, Liah Yoo! The intimate get-together and sharing session was held at LaGula by The Hungry Tapir, which was turned into a mini grocer to showcase all the lovely skincare products the brand is launching on our shores.
Liah revealed much about KraveBeauty at the event, and expressed her excitement at seeing the skincare brand enter the Malaysian market, and her hopes for the brand’s future here. KraveBeauty is now available at all Sephora stores in Malaysia and through their website and app.

% ΔRΔBICΔ Unveiling At Pavilion Damansara Heights
Calling all coffee lovers! It’s time to get your ultimate caffeine fix as % ΔRΔBICΔ has opened two stunning stores in Kuala Lumpur! We headed to Pavilion Damansara Heights to witness the soft launch of this esteemed Japanese coffee chain. But unlike your typical cafe or coffee shop, % ΔRΔBICΔ debuted a minimalist masterpiece. Architects collaborated with the prestigious Paris-based design firm ARCHIEE to create the design, paying homage to the country’s rich cultural heritage as they drew inspiration from Malaysia’s iconic Batu Caves.
Once all was said and done, we indulged in crisp pastries as well as their brand’s signature coffee, brewed from freshly roasted arabica beans. And we were also the first to try the chain’s newest menu item, “% White Mocha.” You can also try their rich blends at the grand opening of % ΔRΔBICΔ at The Exchange TRX on 20th April 2024 and at Pavilion Damansara Heights on the 23rd of April 2024.

HARTA Presents “Interwoven Realities” Exhibition
HARTA – short for HABIB: Action for the Revival of our Traditions and Arts – has unveiled its latest exhibition titled “Interwoven Realities.” The group exhibition (which runs from 18th April to 11th May 2024 at Harta Space, Ampang) spotlights 32 talented artists, each bringing a unique perspective on the intricate tapestry of existence. The artists include both established names like Nor Tijan Firdaus, Anniketyni Madian, and Nini Marini, as well as up-and-coming talents like Nurul Diyana, Jakob van Klang, and Danielle Lin.
Within HARTA’s walls, Interwoven Realities invites visitors to explore the myriad ways in which our world is shaped and connected through the lens of artistic vision. Encounter pieces of art in diverse styles and mediums that reflect the multifaceted nature of our shared reality and transport yourself beyond the confines of everyday perception.

Sulwhasoo INSAMJANG Ginseng Spa Pop-Up
Sulwhasoo recently launched the Ginseng Spa Pop Up in Mid Valley Megamall. By shining the spotlight on Insamjang, guests had the chance to immerse in a variety of experiences, while learning about the heritage and innovations of Sulwhasoo. Additionally, there was also a Beauty Make Up Show by a Sulwahsoo Global Makeup Artist where the media and influencers learned some helpful skincare tips.
The immersive pop up features 4 specially-curated zones:
