Datuk Jamal Abdillah, the iconic Malaysian singer, is gearing up for fatherhood once again as he and his wife, Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, eagerly await the arrival of their seventh child. The 65-year-old shows no signs of slowing down in expanding his family, despite the challenges that come with managing younger children at his age.
In a recent interview, the legend expressed his joy and gratitude for the upcoming addition to their family. “It’s always a blessing to welcome a new member into our lives,” he shared, beaming with anticipation.
However, the journey to this joyful moment has not been without its hurdles. Zai Izzati, 28 years old, has faced significant health issues during her fifth pregnancy. Last year, she endured severe morning sickness and allergies that required medical attention at the National Heart Institute (IJN).
Doctors have since advised against further pregnancies due to health concerns. “We’ve been through some tough times but seeing Zai Izzati’s strength and the support we’ve received from doctors and our loved ones has been truly heartwarming. Every child is a gift, and we’re incredibly blessed,” Jamal reflected.
Looking ahead, Jamal and Zai Izzati are preparing to welcome their new baby early next year. The couple has made plans for Zai Izzati to undergo a tubectomy procedure after the birth, a decision made in consideration of her health and well-being.
