Family planning is important, especially when taking financial circumstance into consideration. Other than money, the physical and mental health of a parent is also essential before deciding to have more children.
Speaking of having more children, veteran singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah recently revealed that he and his wife have decided to put a full stop on having more children after their 4th baby arrives. Here’s why:
Speaking to Berita Harian, Datuk Jamal Abdillah revealed that the birth of his 4th child with his wife Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin will be the last one. He elaborated that the doctors have advised his wife to not get pregnant anymore as the couple prepare to welcome their latest addition to the family later this month.
Why so? The legendary singer explained, “Alhamdulillah 4 children are enough. Besides, the doctors advised we shouldn’t have more children as my wife delivered each of them through caesarean delivery, including the one that’s coming”. The “Azura” artist then added that he’s grateful that both his wife and the baby are in good health.
It was reported that the couple’s 4th child is scheduled to be born on the 14th of April and that the date for the upcoming caesarean procedure has actually been preceded out of consideration for the mother and baby’s well-being. As for the name, the celebrity parents have already decided and will announce it once the baby is born.
For someone who is turning 64 years old this year, it’s quite surprising that he already has 3 children with his wife and a new one on the way. It’s even more surprising after learning that the fertility level in Malaysian men has been decreasing at an alarming rate as told by the Deputy Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development Aiman Athirah Sabu.
According to the politician, research has found that 60% of tests showed abnormal results from the National Population and Family Development Board’s sperm analysis data which you can read more about that here.
