Babel KLCC has just issued an official announcement of its temporary closure. In this brief notice, the gym stated that its premise will be closed from today (2nd May) till Friday (5th May).
“There’s been a fire… at the Babel KLCC sauna and male changing room,” Babel explained. “We will be closed for a minimum of 4 days. All Babel classes, gym usage and PT will be moved to BOSSfit. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.”
Suria KLCC also issued a statement. It reads:
“On 1st May 2024, at approximately 11:31pm, a fire broke out at Babel in Suria KLCC. Nevertheless, the fire was swiftly contained due to the activation of the
building’s firefighting system, combined with immediate response from emergency services, including the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (BOMBA) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
BOMBA arrived at the mall at 11:48pm and successfully extinguished the fire. No casualties or injuries were reported.
We are diligently working to address any remaining concerns and ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons, retailers and staff.
Babel is temporarily closed for business until further notice, but the rest of the mall remains operational.”
For Babel KLCC members, do reach to the gym to enquire if you’re allowed to the other outlet in TTDI for the time being.
