It wouldn’t sit well with fans if they found out that their favourite artist may be unfaithful to their partner. It’s even more infuriating to learn that your favourite male idol has been exposed for seeing or chatting with multiple women on different occasions while still being in a serious relationship. That’s exactly what happened to this popular singer.
Meet Japanese singer-songwriter Yuuri (優里), who became infamous because he dated 3 women at the same time at one point in his career. The singer, who made his debut back in 2019 as a member of the rock band The Bugzy, was revealed to have been dating Takagi Sayuki (高木紗友希), a member of the idol group Juice=Juice after a photo of them walking together on the street circulated online in 2021.
According to Bunshun Online, at the time, fans were actually thrilled about the two idols’ relationship and showed support for the then-couple. Unfortunately, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment after the said relationship caused Sayuki her job as her label soon terminated her contract following the revelation.
After news of the two celebs dating made headlines, the “Infinity” artist was then exposed for being unfaithful to his partner. It was reported that the singer had also been dating 2 other women; one he met through chatting on Instagram while the other from a drinking party. It was said that those relationships were just as exclusive as the one with Sayuki.
One of the women, who remained anonymous to this day, spoke with the media saying that she had her suspicions that her then-boyfriend was cheating on her after finding multiple women’s belongings in his house and him cancelling dates at the last minute. Just like everyone else, she found out about Yuuri’s relationship with the idol member after photos of them went viral online.
The unnamed ex-girlfriend also added that there was a time when he told her, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about you…if I said I liked you, would you go out with me? It’s not for the sex or whatever, but what if we started dating?”. Not long after the Billboard Japan Music Awards winner was exposed, fans were fuming over the fact Sayuki lost her career while her cheating boyfriend was still thriving.
As for the former Juice=Juice member, her romance with Yuuri didn’t last long as they broke up soon after the scandal went viral. Although it has been a few years since the scandal, it appears that the two singers have been on good terms. Last year, the ex-lovers were spotted strolling together. This infuriated fans after finding out that Sayuki had forgiven the man who cheated on her.
According to fans on Reddit, both idols are still seen together and Yuuri even released a song called “The Day We Stopped Being Lovers”, which is rumoured to be about his current relationship with the idol. Unfortunately, neither celeb have talked about nor gave fans any updates regarding their dating life.
