As of late, Malaysia seems to be brimming with newly engaged couples and we couldn’t be happier!
Following the recent engagement of Faliq Nasimuddin and Chryseis Tan as well as Sheena Liam and Ernest Zacharevic, Yuna and boyfriend Adam Sinclair are also set to walk down the aisle.
The engagement ceremony took place at Yuna’s parents’ residence in Shah Alam, Selangor, earlier today (Saturday, 5th August). Word on the street has it that the joyous occasion was attended by by family members and close friends.
“Syukur Alhamdulillah, it was a beautiful engagement. I was very happy that everything went smoothly and we had all of my family members and best friends attending the event. The house was decorated beautifully and we were very happy to host Adam’s lovely family in our home. I would like to thank all the fans for their well wishes and their prayers,” Yuna said in a statement via her local label Yuna Room Records.
“This is the first step to getting married and I’m so happy that I found Adam; he has a wonderful heart, he’s very responsible and respectful of my parents. He is my best friend and he brought so much joy and laughter into my life, and I’m very excited to embark on this new journey with him,” the 30-year-old singer-songwriter added.
Yuna (real name: Yunalis Zarai) and her friendship with director Adam Sinclair (who is the brother of local actor Ashraf Sinclair and Mix FM radio announcer Aishah Sinclair) started blossoming after the pair collaborated on a commercial in 2013. Although the media only got wind of their courtship earlier this year, the lovebirds were already quietly dating as early as 2015.
