#YG: BIGBANG, WINNER, & iKON To Schedule Releases One Month After Another

Oh, YG Entertainment has so much in store for us that you wouldn’t believe it even if we told you! According to YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, all 3 of their idol boy groups e.g. BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON, will be making their comebacks and debut consecutively one after another in the first half of this year.

Can we get a “Hell yes!”?

This was all just revealed in an official statement to TV Report on 15th Feb, in which, Yang Hyun Suk said:

BIGBANG’s comeback is currently planned to be released sometime in April. For now we are planning on April at the latest and we will make their comeback sooner if possible, but there definitely will not be a need to postpone it.

Following BIGBANG’s comeback are their juniors waiting in line. All three teams will be coming out in one month intervals. I guess you can think of it as the older brothers kicking off first before their younger brothers.

He also shared that all 3 groups have exchanged their Lunar New Year vacation time (the Korean New Year is generally the same day as Chinese New Year) for more hours in the studio and that the members have been working hard with the production team to finish up the last few bits of their album completion.

He added that since all 3 teams have songs that have already been completed during their spare time, a comeback within the first half of the year is very likely.

When asked about why BIGBANG was YG Entertainment’s utmost priority, he replied:

BIGBANG has not released an album for the last 3 years. BIGBANG’s fans have been waiting longer than anybody else. This is what I feel most apologetic for to their fans. The members are all currently working really hard, but when you listen to their new music, it’s really thrilling and heart-pounding. Their new music almost gives the same exciting feeling as if you were to meet someone you haven’t met in a really long time.

This new album is an album that is filled with songs that are condensed with BIGBANG’s experiences and charms. All songs depend on who is singing them; I came to realise that the artiste is more important than the actual song through BIGBANG. And leader G-Dragon has indeed been participating in the production of over half of the album. He is consulting with the other members and their suggestions as well. All 5 members are practically living in the recording studios right now.

As such, it has been highly speculated that all 3 groups will be making their appearances via comebacks/debut in the months of April, May, and June 2015. BIGBANG first with a comeback album, then WINNER with their comeback album, and finally rookies iKON with their first debut single.
