Popular rapper XXXTentacion has been shot dead.
The 20-year-old was involved in a shooting late Monday after in the southern Florida city of Deerfield Beach, which left him fatally wounded. Police has confirmed the reports via Twitter.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office stated that emergency officials received a call at 3:57pm about a shooting on Dixie Highway. An adult male victim was confirmed to have taken to a hospital and pronounced dead 2 and a half hours later.
Detectives said that the rapper was leaving a motorcycle dealership in a car when 2 armed suspects approached him. At least one fired a gun, which hit the rapper. The suspects then fled in a dark-coloured SUV.
TMZ also reported that a Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from the car, thus raising the suspicion that it was a robbery.

XXXTentacion had many popular tracks under his belt, but was also a controversial figure. At the time of his death, he was awaiting trial for domestic violence and false imprisonment of his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
He was also facing witness harassment and tampering charges for the same case.
