We only have 3 words to describe Olivia Munn: Sexy, Gorgeous, and Bad-ass!
The 35-year-old actress (can you believe she’s in her 30s?) recently revealed to American Way Magazine the reason why she turned down being the onscreen love interest of Ryan Reynolds in “Deadpool”.
The magazine reported that Olivia Munn was offered to play Copycat Vanessa in Marvel’s super-hit film “Deadpool”. Although the movie will also give the star an immense success boost in her acting career, she decided to portray Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock aka Psylocke.
The main reason why Munn chose “X-Men” over “Deadpool” is because she didn’t want to be some flower vase; she wanted to kick some butt. Yup, she’s one sassy gal alright! 😉
According to Screen Rant, when Munn was offered the role as Psylocke, the filmmakers told her that although she will be involved in fight scenes, her role will not have much dialogue. The actress said that she was fine with it because the character has “an important presence” and it could lead to something big down the road.
“I thought Psylocke was always one of the most lethal characters. As long as you’re not using her to be the eye-candy, she has really powerful abilities,” said the X-Men star.
Is it bad for us to say we are glad that she didn’t choose to act in “Deadpool”? We absolutely can’t wait to see her fight on the silver screen this month!
