Do you feel like nothing seems to be going your way? It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Have you ever tried looking for the silver lining when that happens though? Because there’s always one. Just look at the newly-released short film titled, The Worst Feng Shui Master (神算) from Julie’s Biscuits.

For this Chinese New Year, Julie’s Biscuits has collaborated with GOVT Singapore to come up with a short film to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. The Worst Feng Shui Master is a short film that will tickle your funny bones but at the same time make you think about the silver lining in every inconvenience you face.

The Worst Feng Shui Master is a tale of a Master Wong, a Feng Shui consultant who once prospered. That was until he lost his lucky jade ring, then everything went downhill. He became the butt of jokes to the society, and even worse, his fiercest rival, Chan Sifu. And to add fuel to the fire, he even got nicknamed “Master Wrong” for all of his wrong predictions!

But sometimes, even in the bleakest of time, there will always be a silver lining. Inspired from the snack’s icon Julie, the short film aims to give off a sense of hope and confidence. Even from all the mishaps and wrong predictions, Master Wong still managed to benefit from it and seek for better opportunities from the challenge he faced.

Kevin Joseph, Associate Creative Director at GOVT Singapore stated that the aim of the film was to show everyone that with the help from our fellow members of society, it’s possible for us to come back from hard times. Just like how the pandemic has affected us for the past couple of years, but, we’re all slowly regressing back to normalcy now. Not only that we’re bouncing back up from the pandemic, but some of us even managed to make the most out of it. Just watch all the delivery services prospering for instance!

Julie’s Biscuits is introducing a seasonal treat – the rich and flavourful Golden Eggy Roll. It’s buttery and crispy; the perfect element combination for Chinese New Year’s snack.

So, invite wealth and prosperity into your home this new year with Julie’s biscuits, and may we make the best out of every mishap that come our way just like Master Wong!
