Wild Digital Is Back & Better Than Ever

The leading digital conference in Southeast Asia, Wild Digital, steps it up in its eighth homecoming with the Malaysian Prime Minister serving as the event’s master of ceremonies. The eighth flagship conference of Wild Digital, powered by Catcha Group, will take place in Southeast Asia.

The two-day exclusive tech conference, which had previously only been available electronically, will once again take place in person on the 6th and 7th of September at the Le Meridien Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

One of Southeast Asia’s oldest internet groups, Catcha Group was founded in 1999. The Group’s mission is to put entrepreneurs first, and for more than 20 years, they have built and invested in revolutionary technology firms all over the world, with an emphasis on Southeast Asia and Australia.

Since 2015, Wild Digital has been advancing Catcha Group’s goal of assisting entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform at the biggest tech conference in Southeast Asia. The vast network of chief executives, investors, and leaders at Wild Digital gives guests the chance to hear from the BEST of the BEST in one location on the future of technology and digital creativity.

“Restrictions on physical interactions during the Covid 19 pandemic have seen growing demands by consumers for new digital and online-based solutions. Amid the crisis, we have seen the acceleration of e-commerce, fintech and logistics industries.” said Patrick Grove, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Catcha Group.

“When trouble rises, entrepreneurs strive to find ways to overcome the obstacles. Although the reason for the recession is completely different now, it’s a good opportunity to create something that solves problems generated by the shift to the online world. We believe that Wild Digital is a platform that offers valuable insights into the future of Southeast Asia’s tech industry,” he continued.

Wild Digital’s Southeast Asia conference, with the theme Unlocking Asia’s Evolving Tech Future, will bring together over 1,000 guests and more than 70 presenters, including the top tech players, disruptors, and pundits in the region.

It leads to the question, “How will Southeast Asia’s tech darlings and its thriving tech landscape, which saw record-breaking growth over the last two years, brace for the tougher times ahead?” as word of huge tech layoffs has spread throughout the world in recent months. Attendees can anticipate hearing from international and local powerhouses like Nium, Snowflake, Boost, Meta, Gobi Partners, Golden Gate Ventures, and others as they canvass the hottest tech verticals.

The speakers will discuss their views and thoughts over the numerous fireside chats and rapid-fire sessions as the ecosystem prepares for another season of upheaval.

Here is the list of confirmed speakers you can look forward to:

  • YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Bin Yaakob (Malaysia’s Prime Minister)
  • YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Bin Tengku Abdul Aziz (Malaysia’s Finance Minister)
  • Carmen Yuen (General Partner, Vertex Ventures SEA)
  • Pratik Gandhi (Co-Founder & COO, Nium)
  • David Gowdey Managing Partner (Jungle Ventures)
  • Dennis Nguyen (Founder, Chairman & CEO, Society Pass)
