Over the years, there have been plenty of dating rumours involving actor Park Seo Joon (박서준). Last year, an anonymous insider alleged that the “Parasite” star was dating a YouTuber named xooos (수스). At the time, neither of them confirmed nor denied their relationship but it seems that it was just fluff.
Earlier this week, new rumours began spreading about who the actor might be seeing now after photos of him with an unidentified woman surfaced online. Many speculated that it was American actress Lauren Tsai and while we wait for either one to confirm their relationship, here are some fun facts about the 35-year-old’s rumoured girlfriend:
1. She starred in the Marvel TV series, “Legion”
One thing the rumoured couple have in common is that both have starred in a Marvel project. For 3 seasons, Lauren played Jia-Yi/Switch, a young mutant with time-travelling abilities.
2. She’s an incredibly talented artist
Acting isn’t the only thing she’s good at. From time to time, the 26-year-old would post her horror/gothic-inspired art on Instagram which fans have compared to the works of Japanese manga artist Junji Ito and you can definitely see why.
3. She directed Boygenius’s music video “Cool About It”
Speaking of being a talented illustrator, the young star was the mastermind behind Boygenius’s animated music video for their 2023 song “Cool About It”. Just from the thumbnail alone, it’s clear that she was involved in it as the animation was heavily inspired by her art style.
4. She’s related to a celebrity chef
Lauren Tsai has certainly made a name for herself but did you know that her uncle is Ming Tsai, an American chef and TV personality? The cook made his television debut in 1997 on Sara Moulton’s cooking show “Cooking Live”. Who knew that his niece would follow in his footsteps to appear on the small screen as well one day?
5. She retired from the model industry
Lauren got started in the entertainment industry as a model, appearing in a number of magazines, advertisements, catalogues and fashion shows, including some in Japan and Hawaii. However, in her senior year of high school, she left the modelling industry, citing racism and sexism being the reasons why.
