WhatsApp just bumped up their mobile app with new features that similar to both Snapchat’s and Instagram Stories’.
Now, users will have new ways to customise and enhance their photos and videos as WhatsApp has included the ability to draw, write, and slap emoji on them.

In their blog, WhatsApp explained, “When you capture a new photo or video or share one that’s already on your phone, you’ll automatically see the new editing tools. Whether you’re drawing a big red heart to show how much you miss someone or adding your favourite emoji – sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Try adding text too, and change the colour and font style.”
Additionally, the WhatsApp camera feature also saw some much needed enhancements. It now supports the front-facing flash, which will improve the quality of your selfie photo in low light and at night. Users will also be able to zoom in and out while recording videos by sliding a finger up and down, and quickly switch between front and rear facing cameras by double-tapping on the screen.
Finally 🙂

The update has rolled out for both Android as well as iOS users. Woot. Time to get a-doodlin’, guys!
