While we often hope to find someone to settle down with eventually, it can be hard finding the ‘perfect one’. It could be the first person you get together with, or it could take several tries until you find someone. Unfortunately, the people around you may not necessarily be happy about that.
Taiwanese star Wen Chao-Yu (温兆宇) has certainly had a difficult love story. He has divorced two women and is now divorcing a third. Surprisingly, his son, who previously supported his father’s romantic endeavours, has since put his foot down. He recently told his dad to stop changing wives!
Chao-Yu may be well-known for his acting skills. Unfortunately, he’s also infamous for marrying and divorcing his wives. Many assumed the 43-year-old would finally settle down after he met his Vietnamese wife in 2020. Although there was a 12-year age gap between then, Chao-Yu was still supported by many, including his son, Benny (温玄烨).
Regretfully, that didn’t last long. Two years after registering their marriage, Chao-Yu and his wife drifted apart. They went from video chatting every day to once a week before resorting to texting. In fact, the duo had yet to hold a wedding banquet! As such, Chao-Yu’s wife recently felt that she did not want to waste any more time. The two then decided to divorce.
Currently, all that is left for Chao-Yu to do is visit Vietnam to finalise the divorce procedures. However, not everyone is happy with Chao-Yu’s consistent marrying and divorcing. Benny, who believes in the ideal of “grasping the present” has apparently changed his mind about supporting his dad’s love life. After sharing that he was tired of getting new mothers, Benny reportedly advised Chao-Yu to concentrate on his career and stop changing wives.
Well, we can understand Chao-Yu’s longing to find someone to live out the rest of his days with. But, Benny may have a point with his words. Hopefully Chao-Yu slows down to take his kid’s advice to heart.
