Cue the wedding bells, folks – our favourite K-drama ship Hyun Bin (현빈) and Son Ye Jin (손예진) are getting married! In related news, T-ara member Jiyeon (지연) also announced that she’ll be tying the knot with her baseball player BF, Hwang Jae Gyun.
The K-drama heartthrob delighted fans with the good news about his marriage to the actress last night (Thursday, 10th February). Hyun Bin released a statement which was posted on his agency, VAST Entertainment’s official Instagram.
Hyun Bin’s statement reads:
“Hello, this is Hyun Bin. Is everyone doing well? I am writing this because I wanted to let my fans, who have shown me such enormous support and love and cherished me despite my flaws, know first about this most important decision of my life.
Probably many of you have guessed, right? It’s true. I have made the important decision of marriage and am cautiously taking steps toward the second stage of my life. I have made this promise with the woman who always makes me laugh (Son Ye Jin): to always walk together in the days that lie ahead. The ‘Jung Hyuk and Se Ri’ who were together in the drama will take the first step together in that future. I believe that people will rejoice and celebrate our first steps together with the same affection and warmth that you have shown us so far.
Until we can meet in person again, please stay happy and healthy.”
Meanwhile, Ye Jin also took to her Instagram to personally deliver the exciting news to her fans. Here’s what she said:
“Before I wrote this, I thought a lot about how to express myself. I wanted to say it as beautifully and as nicely as possible because it’s such a precious and important thing. I have a person that I want to spend the rest of my life with. It’s true. It’s the person you’re all thinking of (Hyun Bin). Just being with him gives me a sense of warmth and dependability.
I had thought that a man and a woman meeting, sharing their hearts, and promising each other the future was somewhat out of the range of imagination, but we naturally approached that point to get here. Thank you to everything that turned our relationship into destiny. Everyone, please congratulate the future that we’re going to make together.
I am always endlessly grateful to my fans, who always cheer me on and give me their unconditional love. I want to become a more mature and cool actor and person, but it isn’t easy to do. I believe that one day I can approach the ideal I have in my mind. That’s why I will work to become someone that you won’t be embarrassed by. I sincerely hope that everyone will experience more and more happiness in the days ahead. I want to share my love and gratitude with you all.”
That same day, Jiyeon also took to her social media to personally announce her marriage to her beau. She posted a handwritten letter, along with a couple of photos with her soon-to-be spouse. Feel free to read it here:
“Hello, this is Jiyeon. There’s something I wanted to share with the fans in person, so I am taking the courage to write this (letter). I debuted in my teens, and somehow time has flown by and I’m now reaching my 30s. When I was surrounded by anxieties and uncertainties after my debut as a young and fragile teenager, when I wanted to give up due to hard times in my 20s, it was thanks to you who reached out your hands to me and cheered me on that I was able to pass through the long tunnel and get to where I am today.
I want to let you know first, not through the statements or writings of others. I have a boyfriend who I met last year with a good feeling after getting to know him through an acquaintance. He is always considerate of me, takes care of me, and taught me what happiness is. Next winter, I will exchange vows with this boyfriend who has been like a gift that life has given me.
I will live happily and beautifully with my dependable boyfriend, who has always given me his shoulder to lean on and took firm hold of me when I was feeling unstable. I’m worried that you might be surprised by the sudden news. Now that the day has come for me to share this happiness with everyone, I’m also nervous and shaking as I write word by word.

As revealed by Hyun Bin’s agency, the “Crash Landing On You” co-stars will tie the knot in March, in a quiet and private wedding in Seoul. While the “Cry Cry” hit-maker mentioned in her letter that her wedding ceremony will be held sometime around at the end of the year.
