Local media personality Zarina Anjoulie is no stranger to controversy. However, netizens say she might have gone too far after the actress-turned-influencer revealed that she and Hot Daddy are filming a video together.
Over the weekend, Zarina updated her social media, revealing that she had recently filmed a video with Hot Daddy and his female partners. For those unaware, Hot Daddy, whose real name is Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, is a controversial social media figure who was arrested last year for engaging in the making of adult films and distributing pornographic material of him and other women via social media.
While police have dropped the charges, Hot Daddy was shunned by netizens, who expressed disgust over his actions. As such, Zarina’s posting sparked outrage with many criticising her for platforming the polarising individual and his partners. As for why Zarina was filming with Hot Daddy, it’s assumed that the group was shooting an advertisement for a product under Zarina’s Sylvia’s Secrets brand.
On social media, many netizens slammed Zarina for collaborating with Hot Daddy. Some also lamented that the actress seemed friendly with him and his female partners, despite once criticising him for his content and alleged crimes. Others also expressed disappointment over Zarina using a controversial figure to bring publicity for her brand, noting that it would do more harm than good to her company.
Zarina has yet to respond to the criticisms, but considering her personality, it’s unlikely that she will. Meanwhile, she continues to post about the filming with Hot Daddy and his female partners on her social media. However, some netizens said that the video was the last straw for them, arguing that they can no longer support the media personality or her brand since she’s working with someone as controversial as Hot Daddy.
