We all know celebrities are willing to go to great lengths in the name of beauty. From cosmetic procedures to extreme diets, the pursuit of perfection can be relentless. However, for Indonesian DJ and singer Nathalie Holscher, her latest decision wasn’t just about vanity. It was about survival, both emotionally and mentally.
After enduring years of cruel taunts and online bullying, the singer chose to undergo bariatric surgery in Penang. A month later, she revealed she had already lost 8kg and finally feels happier and more confident in her own skin.

“I’ve lost eight kilograms. Alhamdulillah, I’m very satisfied because it’s only been a month since the surgery,” said the former wife of comedian Sule, adding that her motivation went far beyond physical appearance.
According to the DJ, the decision was driven by the pain of constant ridicule. “I had my intestines reduced because I was constantly bullied. Some people said my body looked like a hippopotamus. So this wasn’t just about appearance, it was about standing up to those on Facebook who mocked me,” she revealed candidly.
Since her surgery, Nathalie has committed to a healthier lifestyle, maintaining strict discipline in her diet and recovery routine. “In the beginning, I could only eat soft foods like porridge and drink milk. But now, I can eat rice and solid food again,” she said.
Previously, the mother of one had opened up about her struggles with body image after childbirth and the emotional toll of public scrutiny. Today, however, Nathalie seems more at peace, focusing on her well-being and embracing her journey towards self-love and confidence.
