As 2024 fades, so do many trendy things. However, this scooter luggage appears to be still relevant, but will that change in the near future? “Scooter bags,” or their official name, Airwheels, are the trendiest luggage in recent times, as they are frequently seen in airports and large malls.

These motorised bags, which come with a seat, footrest, and handles, are popular for a reason: they save energy compared to walking, which is useful for people travelling in large areas. However, the actual level of safety of these bags is still up for debate. For safety reasons, some airports and shopping centres have banned the use of Airwheels on their premises.

Recently, a TikTok user @/jjjjjjyyyyyyygggg) or Ain posted a video on the platform where her husband was seen talking with The Exchange TRX’s security guard regarding his Airwheel. “He’s arguing because they won’t let him ride it inside. I don’t understand; we can bring it in, but we can’t ride it,” said the woman on her video. She added that they rode the scooter into the mall earlier that day without any problems but when they attempted to enter again at night, they encountered the issue.

Netizens commented that this has been the case for crowded places, like the airport because it’s unsafe to use in busy surroundings. Many also advised the couple to just follow the rules of the places they visit, as there’s always a reason behind every law enforced.

We think the decision to ban these scooters is for the best of everyone, especially those with young children. But what do you think? Is it valid to get rid of these?
