In case you haven’t heard, “Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion” (“Satan’s Slave 2: Communion”) was just released in Malaysian cinemas this week and so far it has received overwhelming positive reviews. The sequel picks up where the first movie left off with the Suwono family now having to figure out the mystery behind their new home.

From the trailer, we can see that most of the movie takes place in an apartment building but did you know that the building itself is possibly haunted? Apparently many Indonesian fans of the movie went to check out the filming location and found out that it’s actually been closed down for many years.

Filming for “Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion”, directed by Joko Anwar, took place in an abandoned apartment building located in Sumber Arta, Bekasi, Indonesia which is about 30 kilometers away from Jakarta. The building in question has been abandoned for about 15 years. There has been no occupants since 2008.

The building went viral after the movie was released and according to Gempak, visitors are no longer permitted to enter the building due to safety reasons. Apparently, many people especially content creators were curious to explore the building after seeing the movie. The management had no choice but to restrict people from entering. However, they are allowed to take photos and videos from the outside.

It’s also been rumoured that the 7th floor of the apartment building is the most dangerous floor due to paranormal activities. It’s been said that a crew member for the “Pengabdi Setan” sequel went up to that floor and experienced something terrifying that everyone agreed to never speak of again. This is however not confirmed.

Even the main star Tara Basro, who plays Rini Suwono in the movie, said that the filming location felt like as though they were being watched by the devil. Yikes! Some content creators managed to capture footages of their time in the building before it was closed off to the public and we can definitely see why visitors are no longer allowed in.

Are you curious enough to explore the building if you have the chance?
