Malaysia had many viral road rage incidents, but the incidents rarely involve a prominent figure. Earlier this year, a road rage incident involving Stoned & Co.’s co-founder Tan Jia Hui went viral, sparking calls to boycott the streetwear brand.
According to reports, a video went viral recently, showing Tan Jia Hui using his Ferrari to pursue and block another driver who honked at him earlier when he stood outside Stoned & Co.’s outlet in SS15, Subang Jaya. The video first emerged online on 8th January 2026, but gained more traction on 11th January 2026 on another platform.

The video sparked outrage amongst netizens, calling for Stoned & Co. to take action and assume responsibility. Following the incident, the homegrown brand shared a statement on 12th January 2025 (Monday) to address the issue. In its statement, the brand announced that the management has suspended Jia Hui from all duties, pending internal investigations.
Stoned & Co. added that it is committed to ensuring accountability is upheld and will cooperate with all relevant parties. Later that same day, Jia Hui’s business partner and Stoned & Co. co-founder, Andrew Ngo, also released a video to speak up about the situation and the suspension, revealing that he first heard of the incident on the 8th.
Andrew said he immediately asked Jia Hui to reach out to the other party to apologise. Despite Jia Hui’s attempt to reach out, he didn’t receive any response. Andrew then said that the company had done an internal restructuring within the past few days, effectively relieving Jia Hui of his duties. As such, he is no longer representing the company.
Jia Hui has also issued an apology, taking full responsibility for his mistake. Given the weight of this issue, it’s no surprise that Stoned & Co. is facing a lot of heat. However, we commend the company, Andrew and Jia Hui for taking accountability. What are your thoughts on this? Here’s the viral video:
