(Video) “So Unhygienic!”: 2 Local Students Slammed For Using Testers To Do Full-Face Makeup

Beauty enthusiasts are well aware that applying communal makeup testers directly to the face is a big no-no. This is due to the risk of contracting germs and bacteria from other customers who have used the products, making it highly unhygienic.

Last year, a woman faced backlash from netizens for using a lip gloss tester directly on her lips at a Watsons store. Recently, a similar incident went viral on Twitter, but with a more bizarre twist—this time, a group of girls were spotted doing their full-face makeup using the samples on the shelf. Here’s what happened:

In a video reposted by Twitter user @/ricxxxkiddo yesterday (Thursday, 17th October), a group of what appear to be female college students can be seen browsing makeup products at a Watsons store. However, two of them stood out for using the sample cosmetics on display to do a full face of makeup.

One of the girls applied face powder, tapping it directly onto her entire face, and even went so far as to put eyeshadow on her eyelids to complete the look. Meanwhile, the other used a liquid lipstick tester directly on her lips. Both seemed proud of their makeup results, striking poses for the camera as they admired their handiwork.

Although the girls might have thought their actions were harmless, netizens felt otherwise. Many expressed disgust, with some saying they would no longer dare to use makeup testers after watching the video. Others wished the girls luck in avoiding any potential diseases, while some criticised their behaviour, labelling it as ‘rempit’ for lacking common sense.

This viral incident is a reminder to avoid using or applying any makeup samples directly onto your face. While it’s not illegal, it’s advised to not do it as it may lead to the users catching diseases like herpes.

What do you think of this incident?
