It’s no surprise that Malaysian songstress Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza is loved by many, including her fellow celebrities. However, netizens were surprised to see how well-respected the star is amongst members of the royal family.
The singer recently attended a fashion show by designer Radzuan Radziwill at The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Also present at the event were the Queen of Malaysia, HRH Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin.
Photos and videos from the event surfaced on social media, giving the public a glimpse at Siti Nurhaliza’s interaction with the three Queens. In one clip, the songstress, known fondly as TokTi, was seen greeting the members of the royal family before she was ushered by the Tengku Puteri Seri Teja of Pahang, Tengku Dato’ Muhaini, into a photo with everyone. The singer also warmly chatted with Tunku Azizah, showing their close relationship.
Many Siti Nurhaliza fans have reacted to the interactions, expressing awe at how loved the singer is, even by royalty. They also praised her manners and graceful conduct when greeting royalty. Some also noted that the 46-year-old doesn’t look out of place even when standing beside literal Queens. Since the star was also roped into a photo with the figures, some fans joked that even royalties are fans of the Malaysian icon.
Given Siti Nurhaliza’s status and illustrious career, it’s no surprise that she’s well-respected by such great figures. Tunku Azizah also once publicly defended the singer after she received backlash over her struggles with childbirth, where she almost lost her life when giving birth to her daughter Aafiyah. The Queen of Pahang also said it’s a miracle that Siti Nurhaliza is still alive, given what happened.
