“Genshin Impact” remains one of the most popular video games today. Since its release in 2020, it has won multiple prestigious gaming awards, while its official soundtrack has been praised by fans, renowned musicians and critics alike. We’ve attended two “Genshin Impact” orchestra concerts, and we can confirm that the music is simply otherworldly.
Each time HoYoverse hosts a livestream to announce details of an upcoming update, the broadcast also features new music by HOYO-MiX, the in-house group and studio behind the company’s games. Many viewers were left stunned after learning that Norwegian singer Aurora would contribute to the latest soundtrack.

Over the long weekend, HoYoverse held the “Luna” special programme livestream for “Genshin Impact”’s Nod-Krai update, giving Travellers (Genshin fans) a glimpse of what to expect in the new region. The broadcast also offered a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, along with a preview of the area’s music. Much to everyone’s surprise, the company managed to secure Aurora to perform a song for the upcoming soundtrack.
During the livestream’s special performance segment, the renowned folk artist was joined by the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices choir to present the official Nod-Krai theme song, which draws inspiration from the real-world Baltic region. Known for her ethereal vocals, Aurora left Travellers in awe when she began singing in Latin, with some comparing her to the Moon Goddess, Columbina, a character in the game.

For fans unfamiliar with the game, the 29-year-old later confirmed on Instagram that she had collaborated with “Genshin Impact” on a song. The video she shared gave followers a behind-the-scenes look at her recent performance. It remains unclear whether Aurora is a fan of the game or had prior knowledge of it, but fans were nonetheless delighted and excited by the collaboration. Perhaps she will reveal more about the project and how it came about soon.
For now, let’s enjoy the performance by the singer:
