Being in a relationship is already challenging enough, but deciding to date again after a bad breakup can be just as difficult. Some people sign up for dating apps in hopes of finding their one true love, while others have their friends set them up with someone.
How would you react if someone you know, or even a stranger, is looking to reward RM7,000 if you can successfully matchmake her? Sounds too good to be true, but this is exactly what a woman from Singapore is doing. Here’s her story:

According to The Straits Times, Bella Dai is offering a RM7000 (SG2000) reward and sharing what she looks for in a partner on her Instagram since February. “Hi friends, Bella here. I am looking for a life partner who embodies the following qualities,” her post reads before she lists the criteria. The man of her dreams must be between 25 and 42 years old and based in Singapore. Apart from his age and location, the partner must possess the following qualities:
- Mastery in his craft with focus and discipline
- Cares for his wellness and fitness
- Courage to face difficult conversations
- Open to explore spirituality and religion as self-development tools
Finding Bella a partner might seem easy, but there’s a catch. Even if you successfully find her the man she’s been looking for, you won’t be able to claim the money unless the relationship lasts for at least six months. As for what prompted the yoga instructor to start this bounty, she told the news outlet that she was inspired by a conversation she had with a friend.

“I realised the struggle we have with finding a relationship is the search. None of my friends join dating apps because the intent of people on those is very unpredictable. If I were a product, how would I market myself? How would I make my status known among my friends? Because every campaign starts with awareness, I wanted people to know that I am available and I am looking,” she said.
As the RM7000 figure, Bella believed that would be a large enough amount of money to shock people and get them intrigued about the campaign. Ever since she launched the bounty, she has been getting several referrals from her friends and is currently in her first month of dating someone. Will this person be the one for her? We’ll soon find out in a few months.
