Reckless drivers have always posed a threat to other road users, and there have been numerous instances of such irresponsible behaviour. One example of negligence towards road safety occurred earlier this year when a Tesla driver was caught reversing on the road after missing an intersection.
Although that incident went viral, one person did not learn from that driver’s mistake. A video has been circulating on social media recently showing a car reversing in the middle of a highway which sparked outrage among netizens. Here’s what happened:
As shown in the video below, it can be assumed that the incident occurred because the driver of a Honda CR-V went straight instead of turning left, leading them to reverse all the way back to access the correct route. While this information is yet to be verified, the incident was believed to have happened on the Federal Highway route to Klang.
After the post went viral, netizens on Twitter and Facebook expressed their outrage in the comments, arguing that the driver’s actions were dangerous not only to themselves but also to other road users. Many suggested that the driver should have continued their journey, as there would be a U-turn or alternative route ahead.
Some Facebook users argued that the driver should not be blamed, as everyone makes mistakes. They asserted that missing junctions is perfectly normal and urged netizens to avoid finding fault in every action taken by others. At the time of writing, there has been no info on the driver’s identity or if authorities have taken action against them.
