Hong Kong actress Samantha Ko (高海寧) has been gaining immense popularity following her buzzworthy appearance in the TVB drama “The Queen Of News” (新聞女王). The actress’ popularity is so strong that it seems like it could even outshine some of her fellow celebrities, like Grace Chan (陳凱琳).
The two were recently at the Marco M Chan fashion show event in Guangzhou, China, and netizens couldn’t help but notice how much Samantha outshined Grace during the evening. According to photos, Samantha and Grace wore black dresses to the event. However, netizens say the former’s evening gown showed a more mature and elegant image than the latter’s mini dress.
Reports also said the crowd showed more enthusiasm towards the “The Queen Of News” star when she arrived, even cheering her on-screen name ‘Sze-ching’ (transliteration) while she greeted her fans. Some even said the scene was embarrassing for Grace, who seemed inferior to the overwhelming attention given to Samantha by the crowd. Even when the two posed together for a photo, netizens still said that Samantha outshined the mother of three. Some even said the difference in the two’s aura was “like an employed actress and an unemployed celebrity”.
However, that’s not to say that Grace was left in the dark during the night because many netizens have praised the 32-year-old and her slim figure. Many were shocked at how thin her legs were, especially when highlighted by the black stockings she wore during the event.
