Running a business is no easy feat, especially when dealing with inconsiderate customers. This local business founder received a large order of his rempeyek (deep-fried crackers) and decided to deliver the snacks to the customer himself.
Unfortunately for him, the customer was not at home when he arrived and to make matters worse, it was a cash-on-delivery (COD) order. Here’s what happened:

The owner of the Rempeyek Padu Mantap business shared his recent delivery experience in a couple of videos on his TikTok channel. The man, who goes by @yang_mulia78 on the social site, said that he was disappointed to find that the customer who ordered his product was not at home when he made the delivery. To rub salt in the wound, she even cancelled the cash-on-delivery order after he called her to inform her of his arrival.
“I don’t understand these sort of customers. I travelled all the way from Pasir Gudang to Kulai. I arrived but no one was home. When I called, she said she forgot about the order cause she went out and told me to just cancel it,” he said in the video. Still frustrated about the experience, the entrepreneur posted a follow-up video to expose the customer who cancelled the large order of rempeyek from his business. “I’m exhausted. Travelled all this way but it’s fine. You’ll get what’s coming for you.”
The two posts drew a lot of attention on both TikTok and Twitter with netizens sympathising with the business owner after learning that he travelled nearly 50 kilometres to deliver the customer’s order, only for it to be cancelled at the last minute. A few even shared similar experiences of forgetting that they ordered something to be delivered to their house.

There were also those who suggested for @yang_mulia78 to make sure customers pay a deposit when they place their orders. As for the customer who was called out by the TikToker, she has yet to share her side of the story on the issue. Let’s hope that the founder will take netizens’ advice into consideration so that this episode can be avoided in the future.
