Ariana Grande has been enjoying a strong run lately, particularly following the announcement that she and “Wicked: For Good” co-star Cynthia Erivo received Grammy nominations for the film’s soundtrack. She has also been busy with the film’s press tour, taking part in multiple interviews and attending premiere events to promote the highly anticipated sequel.
While fans are celebrating her recent achievements, they are also curious about her future in music, especially regarding touring. Here’s what the Oscar nominee had to say about her upcoming tour:

Yesterday (Tuesday, 18th November), Ariana Grande appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the “Good Hang with Amy Poehler” podcast. The singer and comedian discussed a variety of topics, ranging from guest-starring on “Saturday Night Live (SNL)” and performing on stage to the preparations she undertook prior to filming the “Wicked” films. One topic that came up was her career and the direction it is heading.
The actress explained that she wants to focus on whatever is “best for her soul,” which includes taking a break from touring after completing her upcoming “Eternal Sunshine” tour next year. “I think the last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I’m going to give it my all, and it’s going to be beautiful, and I’m so grateful. I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah,’ for now,” she said.

The moment from the episode quickly went viral, with fans reacting to the news that Ariana will be taking an indefinite hiatus from touring. Some understood her reasoning, given how certain entitled fans have criticised her for not meeting their expectations. It’s also possible that she might still be traumatised from the 2017 bombing. Others expressed their devastation at the possibility that the hiatus could become permanent, meaning they might never get the chance to see the Grammy winner perform in their city.
Some fans hoped that she would extend the upcoming tour and add more dates, giving more people the chance to see her perform before her hiatus. With all that said, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Ariana is taking a break from music, as it’s still possible for her to produce another album without embarking on a world tour.
