Malaysians are all too familiar with the ‘King of Malaysian Roads’, the Perodua Myvi. You’ve probably heard tons of stories about Myvi drivers by now – and over the weekend, another funny Myvi story left netizens very amused.
Twitter account Asal Gombak shared a video by a motorcyclist that he recorded while waiting to enter the parking lot of the KL East Mall. Unfortunately for him, standing in his way was a Myvi that got stuck after the driver accidentally drove into the motorcycle lane. The 15-second clip showed the white Myvi trying to drive out of the tight lane with assistance from a few mall staff.
Aduh, King… Tau lah kecik, tapi laluan motor tuh. Takkan nak suruh KL East Mall buat laluan khas ke parking untuk Myvi? 😅😅😅

The motorcycle rider was definitely puzzled by the situation because he was heard in the video, saying, “How are you going to free yourself?”. Even the video’s caption poked fun at the Myvi, saying, “Aduh, King… I know you’re small but that’s the motorcycle lane. Do you want KL East Mall to make a special Myvi lane to enter the parking lot?”.
Netizens also couldn’t help but laugh at the Myvi, wondering how it could have gotten itself into that situation. Some joked that the driver must have forgotten they were driving their Myvi instead of riding their motorcycle. However, some netizens defended the Myvi driver, saying it might have been their first time visiting the mall. Others also said the mall’s parking entrance is confusing because they themselves had experienced it firsthand.
We hope the Myvi driver was able to free themselves from the tight situation they were in – and we hope they now know to check the signage in the future.
