If you’ve been following Mydin on their official social media accounts, you’d probably be familiar with their entertaining postings online. In fact, some of the videos also feature the CEO, Dr. Ameer Ali Mydin taking part in several trending TikTok dances!
Yesterday (Thursday, 13th January), another video posted on the local hypermarket branch’s TikTok gained massive attention from social media users. In particular, netizens took notice of the man who appeared alongside the Dr. Ameer in the video.

“Datuk is the real talent of Mydin,” the caption reads. In the video, Harry Styles’ “As It Was” can be heard playing in the background. As the video goes, netizens shift their attention to the much younger guy in the video. Many have since come up with their own theories regarding the identity of the mysterious person.
Scrolling through the comments, netizens speculated that the guy next to the Mydin CEO is actually the man behind the hypermarket’s social media page. “Plot twist – The guy next to him is actually the admin (of Mydin’s socials),” said one commenter on TikTok. “Mydin is smart at hiring younger people who follows the trend,” another TikToker wrote.
At the time of writing, Mydin’s post has gained over 465k views on TikTok.
