Lots of content creators have carried out social experiments to see how people react to certain scenarios. Some of these experiments were very heartwarming and moved people to tears while others were quite controversial. Regardless, there’s always a reason why these experiments were conducted.

This local TikToker, who has done multiple social experiments on his channel, revealed the reason why he prefer to do them with Malays compared to other races.

Yesterday (Monday, 4th September), TikToker Leeroy Wong or @royroy1228 posted a video on his channel to explain why he always conducts social experiments with Malays. In his video, he showed the difference between how Malay people react to certain scenarios compared to Chinese people. “As a Chinese Malaysian myself, I’m not proud that I am Chinese but I am proud that I am Malaysian,” he said.

The content creator proceeded to show the comments section from his social experiment videos where many of his Chinese viewers said how kind-hearted Malays are when it comes to helping those in need, even going as far as saying how Chinese people usually would not care. He then showed the difference between how some of his Chinese viewers react to his videos compared to Malays.

As seen in the video above, the comments left by the former accused the TikToker of being a clout chaser and even told him to convert if he likes Malay people so much whereas the latter left more wholesome and supportive comments. “As a Chinese myself, I understand why many of us would refuse to help. I know the reasons but I’m now more curious to learn why Malays are more than willing to help anyone in need,” he said before ending the video.

After posting his comparison video, many netizens left comments saying that it’s not actually about race or religion as it’s more on the individuals themselves while others argued that Leeroy should still be proud of his ethnicity and continue to do good. Some of his Chinese viewers, however, agreed with his statement indicating that they’ve had similar encounters.

Do you agree with Leeroy on his views?
