Fans are still in the dark about what’s going on with KATSEYE member Manon and her hiatus, with some concerned about her future with the group. Unfortunately, a recent update on her upcoming schedule gives little hope for those waiting for her return.
To recap, Manon has been on hiatus from KATSEYE’s group activities since February due to health issues. However, fans suspect there’s more to her break, with many expressing concern that the 24-year-old might be leaving her group due to ongoing harassment and discrimination. While Manon has assured fans that she’s doing well and has been in “positive talks” with her agency, the majority suspect that she won’t be back on stage with the other members.

Sure enough, the fans had their uncertainties confirmed after KATSEYE’s label confirmed that Manon will not be performing with the group at Coachella 2026. In a comment to The Korea Herald, HxG (HYBE x Geffen) said the idol will remain on hiatus, thus skipping the group’s debut performance at the famed music festival. KATSEYE will perform at Coachella 2026 on 10th and 17th April 2026.
The five active members of KATSEYE also seemingly confirmed Manon’s absence from their upcoming performance in an interview with Zane Lowe. During the interview, Sophia briefly touched on her groupmate’s hiatus, noting that she’s doing well and the members are supporting each other. Lara then added, “She’s our sister forever. Like, we love her so much, and we built this together. So we just want to give her all the space and love she needs right now.”

While they never directly say that Manon won’t be performing with them, many fans took their words as a clear indication that the Coachella stage will feature only five members. In the meantime, the group recently dropped their latest single, “Pinky Up”. Notably, the music video excludes Manon. However, leaked practice footage suggests there were plans for the idol to be part of this comeback.
For now, fans can only remain positive, despite the mixed signals from the group and the agency. Whatever happens, we wish all the best to Manon and the rest of KATSEYE, and we hope that everything will work out in the end.
