We completely understand how everyone is excited to travel again after borders have reopened, even if it is a short trip to and from our neighbouring country, Singapore. People are sick of being stuck in one place that they just want to move about.

However, one has to remember that wherever you travel, you are representing your home country or state. Don’t think you can easily get away with being rude to others from another country. Unfortunately, this man thinks he has some sort of privilege just because he’s carrying a certain passport. Here’s the story:

SOURCE: FACEBOOK

Facebook user Joanna Loh posted on her profile on Saturday (6th August) several videos and screenshots taken from her car’s dashcam to expose this man who was trying to cut queue on the road at the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link heading towards Johor Bahru. The man apparently took out and flashed his Malaysian passport to the driver behind him signaling her to let him through.

The male driver appeared furious when she didn’t budge despite him showing off his “privilege”. He then got out of his vehicle to point out the Malaysian plate number on his car. In her Facebook post, Joanna pointed out that she and her passengers are also Malaysian and even if they were Singaporean, it still doesn’t give this man the right to bully others just cause he has a Malaysian passport.

Most netizens in the comments section found the whole incident humorous. There were also a few who thought that Joanna should’ve just let him through and not nudge forward as there was a big enough gap for him to drive in.

Regardless, whoever is wrong is in this case, one should remember to stay calm when dealing with road issues. Traffic can be bad but let’s not use that excuse to be mean to others.
