Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s…..Ultraman? Wait what? Yes, apparently the Japanese icon has made his way here to Malaysia, flying over our shores recently. For real? Well not exactly. But you will definitely see him flying around in Sarawak.

How? Why? A video has been going viral on TikTok showing Ultraman flying in the skies of Kuching, Sarawak. The hero of many people’s childhood has been noticed by locals and we’re not surprised that kids are loving the cool sight of one of their favourite monster-fighting heroes.

Content creator @rasz_malik or simply Rasz posts videos on his TikTok of him reviewing remote controlled toy aircrafts and one of his recent videos managed to gain 2 million views, 286.9k likes and over 4k comments. The video in question? The flying Ultraman Tiga. The remote controlled aircraft was designed to look like the iconic Japanese giant monster-fighting hero.

“I finally got to fly Ultraman! I was so nervous during the live broadcast cause people might attack Ultraman for not being able to fly,” he said in his caption. The TikTok video shows the Kyodai hero soaring through the air with a beautiful view of the sunset in the background. The TikToker also used the official “Ultraman Tiga” theme music in the video to make it more exciting.

If you didn’t know, Ultraman Tiga is one of the most popular shows of the Ultraman franchise and has aired in Malaysia back in the 90s and early 2000s. Netizens commented saying how excited they were to see one of the 43 versions of Ultraman successfully flying. Some even claimed that they saw the flying icon in the sky when they were out and about.

Rasz, who got into his toy aircraft hobby because of his father, is glad that he could make people’s dreams of seeing Ultraman flying through the air come true. Other than Ultraman Tiga, there’s also a video of him flying DC Comic’s Green Lantern. Who do you want to see fly in the sky in Malaysia? We personally would want to see Doctor Strange or The Scarlet Witch.
