When living with a medical condition, it is important to be aware of your responsibilities when doing crucial tasks such as taking care of your health or even driving. It’s important to note that the choices that you make on the account of your safety could also protect the people around you.
Yesterday (15th June 2025), a mother and her children were struck by a moving vehicle while they were shopping at Kea Farm, Caemron Highlands, which left them with minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was reported to have suffered a seizure attack while driving and lost control of the vehicle.

The incident, captured by bystanders and CCTV footage on the scene, showed a harrowing unfolding of events as the vehicle approached the market area and struck the mother and her 4 children. One of the children was unfortunately seen trapped under the vehicle, and quick-thinking bystanders worked together to lift and move the vehicle out of the way to save her.
Cameron Highlands District Police Chief Supt Azri Ramli has since issued an official statement on the incident, which states that the driver suffered a serious seizure attack while in a moving vehicle, which caused injuries to 4 pedestrians. Fortunately, all victims received medical treatment at the hospital and have been discharged with no serious injuries.

Police investigations revealed that the driver had no traffic violation records prior to the incident, and initial urine screening tests also came back negative for substances. However, the incident calls for the Cameron Highlands City Council to consider a relocation of the market as the gaps between roads and sidewalks pose a serious safety hazard for the public.
