Malaysian content creator Lim Shang Jin (林尚进) is no stranger to controversy, even once getting into a sexual harassment scandal. Unfortunately, these recent viral videos of the content creator don’t seem to help improve his image either.
A Facebook page recently shared a couple of videos, allegedly of the YouTuber. The first video was reportedly taken in a club, depicting a drunk man getting into a fight with a bouncer. In the video, the man, who many claim is Lim Shang Jin, provoked the bouncer by pushing him on the chest. At one point, the security personnel retaliated, which caused Lim Shang Jin to fight back even more.
The video then continues, showing Lim Shang Jin pushing the bouncer with his chest before it gets cut off. However, another video shows what is likely the aftermath of the incident. In this second video, a man, believed to be the controversial YouTuber, was curled up on the floor by the club entrance. It’s implied that the man got too drunk and passed out while security personnel and his friends crowded around.
Both videos have gone viral, attracting tons of reaction from netizens. Most comments were mocking the YouTuber, quipping that the fight seemed one-sided as the bouncer appeared unaffected by the jabs. Some also joked that Lim Shang Jin is trying to start another controversy to gain notoriety following the engagements of his two ex-girlfriends. On the other hand, some lament his behaviour, saying he should be ashamed for causing problems in public.
Lim Shang Jin has since reacted to the videos and commented on the Facebook post. The 35-year-old claimed to have no recollection of the incident, implying that he might’ve been too drunk. He also apologised for his drunken stupor, acknowledging his wrong for picking a fight with the bouncer. At the end of his comment, he apologised for his behaviour, writing, “I’m sorry for making a fool of myself again.”
