Rookie K-pop girl group KIIRAS (키라스) had a fabulous time in Kuala Lumpur when they visited earlier this month. Aside from their busy schedule performing and making special appearances, the trip also marked a special homecoming for leader Ling Ling (링링/黃羚棱), who hails from Klang.
In addition to their first international showcase during “The Music Journey 2 Roadshow”, the group took part in several activities, including collabs with our local artists. Yesterday (Thursday, 28th August), they uploaded the second episode of their “First Overseas Schedule” series on YouTube, where we got to see more of what they’ve been up to while in Kuala Lumpur.

In the vlog, KIIRAS is first seen arriving at the FILA “LOVE:ALL” launch event at Sunway Pyramid, where they were greeted by excited fans who had been eagerly waiting for them. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the legendary Malaysian fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo and his mentee, designer Peony Sin Hui Wen (萧惠玟). Each member received a custom-made outfit and enjoyed afternoon tea with the icons.
“They designed outfits for each of us that perfectly matched our individual styles. Professor Jimmy Choo’s home felt like a palace; it was such an honour! We also had some delicious treats there. Thank you, Professor Jimmy Choo!” the group shared gratefully while en route to their next location. During a short break, the group went shopping at an undisclosed mall, where they visited a POP MART outlet. When it came time to pay, the cashier recognised them, and both the group and the fan posed for a photo together, much to their mutual delight.

After a round of interviews with Malaysian media, KIIRAS received a surprise visit from none other than DOLLA. With the limited time they had together, both groups immediately set about learning each other’s choreographies in order to film dance challenges for social media. Later that evening, it was finally time to rehearse for their performance for the “The Music Journey 2 Roadshow” showcase.
The vlog concluded with KIIRAS members sharing their thoughts about their overseas experiences, saying how exciting and amazing their recent trips have been. We hope we get to see their girls again in the near future and perhaps, for their first concert!
