Hong Kong actress Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) has had many romantic partners in her life, including Hong Kong actor Dicky Cheung (張衛健) and businessman Ronald Wing. Despite her extensive experience in love, the 55-year-old is still single.
Understandably, Jessica’s love life is often the subject of public attention, as many are curious to know whether the renowned actress will finally settle down. In a recent interview with fashion editor Kam Shing, the star reflected on her relationships, sharing her perspective on romance and an unpleasant past incident that made her wary about men.
According to Jessica, she once had a boyfriend in her college days whom she loved deeply. Unfortunately, the pair broke up after the star learnt that her boyfriend was still involved with his ex-girlfriend. Jessica said, “One day, I suddenly discovered that I was the other woman. My classmate told me that the guy already had a girlfriend, and that completely shocked me.”
Jessica said she blamed herself for the breakup because she was too naive at the time. However, the star said being deceived made her very cautious of her future partners. She said, “After that, whenever I have a boyfriend, I would pay attention to his behaviour. If he did anything that felt off, I would immediately feel uneasy and even back away.”
Despite her experiences, Jessica said she still hasn’t lost faith in love, adding that she still believes in soulmates. In the same interview, Jessica also touched on her friendship with Louis Koo (古天樂). Since the two had often acted as on-screen couples, many fans hoped a real-life romance would blossom. However, Jessica quipped that her relationship with Louis is platonic.
