In a recent TikTok video by Astro Arena promoting the upcoming Netball Super League (NSL) 2023, the sports channel highlighted one player from the Terengganu Marvels team, Arirak Ampharat. In the video, the Thai native was sitting on a chair with another woman, believed to be fellow teammate Aina, standing by her side.

Surprisingly, the two were the same height even though the Thai player was sitting down. As Arirak stood up, her height shocked netizens because she was almost twice as tall as Aina. According to an unverified player profile, Arirak stands at a towering 202cm, which is 50cm over the average height of Malaysian women.
Many netizens were shocked by the athlete’s stature, but they couldn’t help but feel curious if the athlete had any difficulties because of her height. One netizen was curious how long her bed would have to be to fit her, while another netizen said she must have a hard time finding pants that fit her. However, some said Arirak’s height was a blessing, like one who jokingly said she wouldn’t need a ladder to clean a ceiling fan.
