It’s very common for actors and directors to go on a press tour to promote their latest projects. Whether it’s in the form of a press conference or meet-and-greet events, fans would still get to learn more about the movies that will be screened.
Previously, we had Singaporean director Jack Neo (梁志强) along with the cast of “I Not Stupid 3 (小孩不笨3)” visiting our shores to meet fans in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Now, it seems that Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) will be following suit very soon. Here’s what we know:
Lifestyle blogger RunWitMe recently attended a virtual press conference of the upcoming movie “Customs Frontline” starring Nicholas Tse. A video was posted on his Instagram Story that showed the actor chatting with the host with a caption that reads, “Nicholas will be in Kuala Lumpur on 9th July to promote this movie”.
Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement by any local cinemas regarding this news so the details about where in KL exactly or which cinema he will be making an appearance remains unknown. However, according to both Golden Screen Cinemas and TGV Cinemas’ websites, “Customs Frontline” will be released on 5th July next month. So, if the information by RunWitMe is legit, then the Hong Kong actor will be at our shores 4 days after the premiere.
While we wait for more updates on his appearance, here is the synopsis of the upcoming action movie “Customs Frontline”: “A container ship appears in Hong Kong waters and customs officers board to inspect it. The team, which includes cocky Chow Ching-lai soon discovers the corpses of the crew and a huge cache of weapons, including an extremely valuable compass suitable for piloting a submarine. The customs officers don`t know it yet, but an international incident is about to blow up.”
Who knows, perhaps there will be a contest for Malaysian fans to join for the chance to meet Nicholas Tse in person! We can only hope. Stay tuned for more updates!

It’s official! According to the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Instagram page, Nicholas Tse will be coming to our shores to promote his new movie! Details of the special meet and greet session are as follows:

- Time: 6:30PM
- Location: Pavilion KL (Connection, Level 3)
