Recently, there have been several cases of unusual behaviour by drivers on the road. Whether it involves cars or motorcycles, these unexpected incidents keep making headlines.
Twitter user @/wenkt, also known as Syazwan Zanini, shared his own surreal experience of witnessing a riderless motorcycle moving down the road. The extraordinary incident, which felt like something out of a dream, was captured on his car’s dashcam yesterday morning (Wednesday, 9th October) while driving from Shah Alam to Kuala Lumpur near the Mentari Court area. Here’s what happened:

In the now-viral video, Syazwan can be heard casually driving while chatting with a passenger when, suddenly, a riderless motorcycle drifts into his lane. Caught off guard, the driver honked at the unmanned vehicle as it slowly veered back to its original lane to alert other drivers and avoid a collision. Both occupants in the car were left stunned as they continued their journey.
Later that evening, Syazwan checked the dashcam footage to discover what had happened. The video revealed that the owner of the driverless bike actually had been hit by another rider from behind and fell off, causing the vehicle to move on its own. As of now, there are no updates or reports on the condition of the victim involved in the accident.

Most netizens commenting on the post were amused by the bizarre incident, with some even comparing it to the iconic 2007 film “Ghost Rider.” Even influencer Ceddy Ang found it humorous that the driver was “honking at a jinn” before learning the true story. Others expressed concern and sympathy for the victim involved. Additionally, some voiced frustration over how certain motorcyclists tend to tailgate in the motorcycle lane, contributing to dangerous situations.
