Celebrity couple Fattah Amin and Amira Othman celebrated their marriage in style over the weekend, hosting a grand traditional Malay-themed wedding reception at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre. The event, attended by more than 2,000 guests, was a stunning showcase of Johor heritage, elegance, and family warmth.
The actor-singer pair, who previously tied the knot in a private ceremony at a resort in Sepang on 14th September (Sunday), were celebrated in an atmosphere of regal splendour. Their pelamin, styled to resemble a traditional Malay throne, was adorned with thousands of red blooms, becoming a vibrant setting for the couple’s ivory ensembles designed by renowned fashion house Fiziwoo.

Fattah looked dashing in a teluk belanga baju Melayu, while Amira exuded grace in a matching gown. The minimalist design, however, drew mixed reactions online, with some users calling the outfits “too simple” for the celebrity couple.
Fiziwoo later addressed the comments through an Instagram post, explaining the cultural and emotional meaning behind the Busana Bangsa Johor design. “Fattah and Amira donned a creation that blends the beauty of Johor tradition with modern soul. Each thread of tulang belut and ayak embroidery was sewn with prayers, and every detail symbolises love and the artistry of the House of Fiziwoo,” the designer wrote in the captions.

The explanation resonated with many, who praised the understated refinement of the look and its tribute to Johor’s identity. While some had earlier described the outfits as too simple, others came to Fiziwoo’s defence, appreciating the elegance and cultural depth behind the designs. Many also commended the choice to honour traditional elements in a modern wedding, calling it a beautiful representation of Johor heritage done with class and sincerity.
Adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration, Amira’s father, Othman Abdul Kadir, serenaded guests on piano before joining his children, including singer Irfan Haris, for a family performance of “Rindu Bayangan”.

According to Irfan, the wedding reception was held in two sessions, morning and afternoon, to accommodate all guests in attendance. “Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable, enjoy the day, and celebrate together with the bride and groom,” he shared.
The couple’s graceful presence and cultural appreciation have clearly captured the hearts of many. Here’s wishing Fattah and Amira a lifetime of happiness, love, and blessings as they begin this new chapter together.
