No matter how secure costumes or accessories may be, mishaps can still happen during a performance. It is nothing new and has happened to countless artists, many of whom are trained to carry on with the show even when an accessory comes loose or a minor wardrobe malfunction occurs.
That said, anyone would understandably feel anxious if a piece of jewellery worth thousands were to fall off mid-performance. That is exactly what happened to Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈) member Hyunjin (현진). Here’s how he and the other members reacted:

The 2025 Gayo Daejeon took place on Christmas Day (25th December), with Stray Kids among the many K-pop idol groups who took to the stage. The group performed their latest hits, “Do It” and “Ceremony”, but during the performance, Hyunjin unexpectedly lost something on stage. It was later revealed that the idol had lost one of his Cartier earrings, reportedly worth around KRW80 million (approximately RM22,000).
After the event ended, Hyunjin and his fellow members were seen frantically searching the stage for the missing piece of jewellery. Thankfully, Felix (필릭스) managed to find the earring and immediately returned it to Hyunjin, who was visibly relieved and excited to have it back as he hugged his younger member. The other Stray Kids members joined in the moment, expressing their gratitude that the expensive accessory had been recovered.

The celebratory moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans amused by Stray Kids’ reaction to searching for and recovering the Cartier earring. Some noted that Felix can be heard shouting “80 Million Won!” as he handed the earring back to Hyunjin. Others suggested that Stray Kids may have been particularly anxious because they likely have to return their accessories or parts of their outfits to sponsors, making the missing earring a more stressful moment.
