From time to time, people bring their packed lunches from home to school or work in order to save money and normally when someone treats them to a nice meal at a restaurant, they would avoid ordering the most expensive items on the menu. This mother definitely kept that in mind when her son invited her to a steak meal.

Over the weekend, a netizen who goes Paan Zery on TikTok posted a video on his channel that showed him at a nice steak restaurant with his family. What he probably didn’t expect was his mother bringing something along with her to add to the meal instead of simply ordering it.

In the video shared, the young man invited his mother to a nice steak meal one evening. To his surprise, rather than order a drink from the menu, his mother prepared her own iced lemon tea and brought it with her because of how expensive beverages can be at restaurants. “Has this ever happened to anyone else?” wrote the tickled user.

The video quickly went viral, now reaching over 1 million views, with netizens being amused by the mother’s creative solution to save money when dining out. Some commented that they could relate to the woman, saying that they too have done something similar in the past while others joked that it was a good thing she didn’t bring her own steak with her to eat at the restaurant.

There were also those who were curious about which establishment it was since it was not specified. Unfortunately, Paan did not answer those questions about which steak restaurant his family were at in the viral video.

Whatever the case, while it may seem like a good tip we could all use, it’s important to keep in mind that most food establishments do not allow customers to bring outside food or drinks. So, before you go on and try what this TikToker’s mother did, best be aware of the restaurants’ rules first.
