In a recent TikTok video by user binaazizz_, the shopper shows off a nifty feature in the Sunway Pyramid digital directory board. The feature is called the ‘Makan Wheel’, a random wheel generator with all the F&B outlets in Sunway Pyramid. All the shopper needs to do is to choose their dietary preferences: ‘Any’ or ‘Halal & Pork-free’, and the cuisine of their choice. They can also opt for the ‘Surprise Me’ option if they don’t have any specific cuisine in mind.

After that, all the shopper needs to do is click on the wheel, and it will randomly generate a restaurant based on the dietary preference and cuisine selection. In the TikTok video, the user and her partner got the first choice of a dessert cafe, so they decided to respin to find a more suitable option. The shoppers seemed satisfied with the new feature and recommended it to other Sunway Pyramid shoppers. The TikTok user also joked in the captions, “Hopefully this settles the problem of “where to eat”.”
Netizens reacted to the TikTok video, showing interest in the helpful feature. Many say it would be great if other malls implemented the same feature onto their digital directory boards. However, some said they will continue spinning the wheel until they get a specific restaurant. Some netizens revealed that the feature is also in the Sunway Pyramid app, so you can easily access it from your phone.
