(Video) Disabled Woman In Tears After KFC Refused To Take Her Order

The drive-thru section is one of the facilities provided by fast food outlets to make it easier for customers to buy their meals without having to get out of their vehicle. How would you react when you are denied your right to purchase your food on the go due to your disability?

A female TikToker @aira_meor was left feeling disappointed after she couldn’t place her KFC order recently. Aira, who is a member of the Deaf community, went to the drive-thru section of the eatery to order her food. To her dismay, she was told to head inside the store instead.

Aira further revealed that the KFC staff claimed that she had to place the order at the counter because they could not take her order through the screen. Feeling disheartened and discriminated, she revealed that she simply drove off hungry without even buying the food.

At the end of the video, Aira stated that she only wanted her voice to be heard, and that’s why she refused to drop the specific location of the KFC outlet. Additionally, she also suggested the fast food chain to improve their facilities to make it easier for a disabled person like herself to buy a meal.

Aira’s TikTok confession has since gone viral on several other social media platforms, including Twitter. A lot of netizens have taken to the comments section to express their sympathy to the disabled lady who had to face such a terrible situation.

On top of that, some of them also demanded for KFC to upgrade their facilities so that such incidents will never happen again in the future. Others have also called for people with disabilities to receive equal treatment. Here are some of the comments left by them:

Not long after Aira’s post went viral on social media, KFC came forth to apologise to her over the incident that took place. They also informed her that “appropriate action has been taken”.

We can do better than this, Malaysia! Hopefully the incident involving Aira will serve as an eye-opener for the public out there to be more mindful and kind towards other people, especially towards the disabled community.
