Celebrity entrepreneur Dato Seri Vida rarely talks about viral issues and is never one to pick a fight with anyone. However, she felt the need to call out a certain celebrity who is known for exposing predators and creating awareness on various subjects.
That celebrity is, of course, none other than rapper Caprice. The father-of-two has never been afraid to express his thoughts on social media which can sometimes result in several feuds. So what did the hip-hop artist do this time for the businesswoman to reprimand him? Here’s what happened:
Yesterday (Monday, 23rd September), DS Vida posted a video on her social media accounts with the intention of advising Caprice as she felt that he had derailed his original purpose in posting videos. “I used to watch your videos to learn about viral issues. You wanted to create awareness on certain topics but lately, I feel like you’ve been intentionally humiliating the people involved,” said the mother-of-two.
She pointed out that the artist had repeatedly posted about the Abang Bas issue, believing that he had ill intentions of continuously shaming the culprit rather than bringing awareness to the concerning topic. “The bus driver is already facing the consequences of his actions. I’d rather you post something to create awareness on how to deal with pedophilia cases or educate people on other issues,” the entrepreneur added.
The 52-year-old then clarified that she has the utmost respect for Caprice and has always been a supporter of his for years. She advised the rapper to refrain from constantly posting controversial issues on his social media and focus more on wholesome content. “I actually enjoy the videos you do with your wife and kids. I like the ‘husbands afraid of wives’ skits you do”. After posting her thoughts, netizens agreed with DS Vida’s statements and praised her for speaking out.
Was Caprice receptive of Vida’s advice? He replied, “Is the wife in Dato’s dream the same wife?” possibly referring to her comments about his video content with his wife. He then responded to netizens’ replies to explain the difference between bringing attention to criminal cases and humiliating someone online.
