Caprice, a prominent rapper and entrepreneur, has built a reputation for his controversial video content over time. Nevertheless, following the birth of his son, Airiel Qashaf, on 18th March 2024, the musician has noticeably reduced his engagement in contentious topics but that doesn’t mean he would tolerate any rude remarks, especially if it’s towards his family.
On Friday (3rd May), Caprice shared a video featuring his wife Farra Inalis, directing a man in a white t-shirt to kneel before them. For context, the man, identified as Irfan from Johor, had apparently referred to their newborn baby as a “little demon” (dajjal kecil) in a direct message. This act provoked strong reactions from the couple, particularly from Caprice’s wife as the child’s mother.
The rapper’s wife displayed intense emotions and struggled to contain her anger when confronting the young man. “Why did you curse my child?“, Farra demanded an answer, after confirming that the 23-year-old man from Johor was mentally sound. Yet, netizens voiced their criticism toward Farra for requesting the young man to kneel and apologise, deeming it excessive.
A portion of netizens believed that demanding the man to kneel for forgiveness and posting the video was unnecessary, advocating for a private resolution of the situation. Others recommended that the parents of the 23-year-old Johor man pursue legal action against the celebrity couple for the humiliation. Conversely, many netizens share Farra’s sentiment and endorse the couple’s decision to have the man kneel.
Amidst the ongoing debate among netizens regarding the kneeling issue, Caprice shared a screenshot yesterday where the father-of-one asked someone who appeared to be a family member of Irfan if the mother was okay with the couple’s actions. The relative replied, “Yes, as it was my brother who was willing to meet you and apologise.” In his caption, Caprice said, “Whoever is still dissatisfied with how Elis treated the man, please move on.”
In addition to receiving praise on social media for effectively resolving his issue, Caprice also reposted the video and deleted the scene showing Irfan kneeling. This decision came after considering the perspectives of his followers, wife, and religious teachers (ustaz).
