After a successful 2025 with concerts and solo activities, the girls of BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) are coming back with new music! In a recently released teaser, YG Entertainment confirmed that the girl group will return to the music scene with a new mini-album.
At midnight, 15th January 2026 (Thursday, KST), BLACKPINK’s official social media pages unveiled the first teaser for the group’s upcoming mini album, “DEADLINE”. The new release marks the group’s 3rd mini-album, their first musical release of 2026, and their first comeback since the release of “JUMP” in July 2025.
The mini-album release date is set for 27th February 2026 (Friday), and teaser rollout will likely begin later this week or in the coming week. However, besides the title and release date, not much is known about the album so far. Nevertheless, fans have expressed excitement over the new album and BLACKPINK’s comeback.
The comeback announcement comes as the members prepare for their Tokyo Dome “DEADLINE” shows, which will take place from 16th to 18th January 2026 (Friday to Sunday). The world tour will conclude later this month with three back-to-back shows from 24th to 26th January (Saturday to Monday) at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.
The BLACKPINK members have also embarked on individual activities while on tour. Lisa (리사) recently made an appearance at the 2026 Golden Globes as a presenter, while Jennie (제니) is preparing for her first photo exhibition later this week. Meanwhile, Jisoo (지수) dropped a collaboration with Hello Kitty, and Rosé (로제) recently nabbed an award at the 40th Golden Disc Awards.
