Say what? Henry Moodie is back in Malaysia? You heard it right. Renowned UK singer Henry Moodie shocked Malaysian fans after he randomly posted a TikTok video of himself on the stairs of Batu Caves. The singer was lip-syncing and dancing to his most famous song “Drunk Text” while hanging out with our adorable monkeys on the iconic colourful staircase.
There was no announcement of the star’s arrival in our country and that left Malaysian fans shocked and confused. Many left funny and entertaining comments under the singer’s video and one fan even jokingly asked the star why he didn’t inform her he was there because her house is right in front of Batu Caves.
Later on his Instagram Stories, the public figure posted himself enjoying a dip in the pool after a tiring day of walking up the steps at Batu Caves. Though the location is unknown, it’s possible the star could be R&R-ing at a hotel or Airbnb near Menara PNB that’s visible in the background. The popular YouTuber also posted another TikTok post, which was a short vlog of his stay here in Malaysia.
The celebrity had recently performed for Day 2 of We The Fest in Indonesia on 20th July (Saturday) and had made a quick layover in our beloved country. The musician is set to perform his next show in Seoul, Korea, on 27th July (Saturday).
After his successful free concert in May, the artist has grown his Malaysian fan base with an overwhelming crowd at The Exchange TRX. We can’t help but wonder where else this celebrity will sightsee next. Possibly the timeless streets of Melaka? Or maybe just strolling around our bustling city? Who knows! Could this singer possibly be blessing his Malaysian fans with another free concert? We hope so!
